• As ISDF, we operate in the MENA region starting from Lebanon , Jordan, Palestine, Iraq, Yemen, Sudan, and Egypt.

• Why MENA region: We have observed in the past two decades in the MENA region, the wars and revolutions in many countries have shaped the lifestyle of its societies and filled them with anxiety, fear, loss of resources, assets and safety:
− The 2019 revolution in Lebanon against the ruling political parties which divides the country into fanatical religious sects, using threats and weapons to overpower ethical citizens and dominate the country and deplete its resources.
− The war and destruction of Iraq have wiped tremendous amounts of culture and heritage which goes back thousands of years, to an era when civilization started near the River of Dijlah and Furat, those millenia-old cultures and their artifacts have been destroyed and stolen.
− The civil war in Syria against their tyrant regime, which escalated to Invasion of the fanatic group ISIS and the complete destruction of some cities and a massive refugee crisis as a result from those affected areas.
− The war in Yemen has had catastrophic effects on women and children, as well as families, both mentally and physically, with many needing medical help or financial relief.
− The political turmoil and revolution in Algeria, Sudan, Lebanon, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Iraq etc.

• As a result of all the above, the numbers and statistics show that more than 2 million were killed and more than 5 million children are orphaned and are suffering from extreme famine and poor health, 25 million immigrants from Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Lebanon, Sudan, Algeria, etc., being forced to flee from their heritage and culture in hopes for a better life or future.

• With immigration comes escalating problems that are being shown over time, with the rapidly changing wealth demographics of the countries. The severe situations that immigrants are exposed to on a daily basis are causing them suffering in host countries. This has a huge impact on children, women and adolescents that have been exposed to daily trauma. The very same children that are meant to carry our hopes to the future are being exposed to untold suffering all over, deeply scarring and traumatizing them, thus preventing them from carrying out a vision of a better future.
